Our AGM will be held on 15th November 2017 at 7.30pm, in the Whitefriars management Suite. All members and friends of Canterbury Beekeepers are invited to attend. The principal subject will be a discussion about maximising the value of the branch to members, after hearing the officers’ reports. We will keep the formalities of election of a committee to a minimum.

The East Kent Ploughing Match will be held on 27th September at Quex Park.
Established for over 70 years in East Kent this popular annual event attracts between 3,000 and 4,500 people each year from the agricultural community as well as all walks of life. With over 75 trade stands, the ploughing competitions and a thriving craft tent it is a vibrant agricultural day with loyal supporters.
Canterbury Beekeepers partners with other local associations to run a beekeeping stall, where we sell honey and talk about bees. The enthusiast can enter honey (set or runny) into the Women’s section show. For more details, please see the schedule at this link. Note that the closing date for entries is 25th August.
Enthusiasts will be guaranteed a day to remember, with the matches featuring everything from the latest tractors and ploughs to vintage and horse drawn varieties. Poultry classes, vegetable competitions, craft tents, a welly throwing competition, the chance to try archery, a falcony display and a host of other entertainments ensures that the event has something for everyone.
