Alan Byham’s report on 2011 honey yields and prices can be found here. Average hive yield is 31 lb, down from 46lb in 2010. Alan is the SE Regional Bee Inspector, and part of the National Bee Unit (a dept of FERA).
KBKA are organising the Bees and Honey Show, as part of the County Show on 15-17 July, at the Showground in Detling (near Maidstone). This is a major part of the Kentish beekeeping calendar, so why not go along and support it? Follow this link for more details.
