Apiary Meeting, 8th August
Hi {{FirstName}}
Our next meeting will be at Debbie Burton’s house/apiary in Stanford (at the bottom of Stone Street), at 2pm on Saturday August 8th. We plan to do some honey extraction – we will have 4/5 supers from Palmsted – and have a look at some of Debbie’s hives, so do bring your beesuits.
If you are planning to attend, please let us know by email to committee@canterburybeekeepers.org.uk, so we can give Debbie a good idea of numbers. No need for a message if you are NOT coming. If you need to borrow PPE, please include a note in your response, so that we can make sure to have spares available.
As usual, to avoid transmission of bee diseases, please bring clean suits, and gloves that are easily washed – marigolds or surgeons’ gloves are fine, but please no leather gloves. Honey extraction is sticky work, so thin gloves are useful, and you may wish to bring a pinny or overall.
There will be plenty of time for tea and chat – which always go better with homemade cakes, if you would like to do some baking!
Full joining instructions are included in email to all members and friends.
